An exciting year in preparation, with the last two heads of the Sculpture Series being completed and a Times photographer documenting progress of the critic sitter, Nancy Durrant, at Fittleworth in February. The Surrey University acquisition of the ‘Charmer’ bronze relief has been delivered but not yet sited. The Hindhead carving experience has been hard and cold – never rising much above freezing from November until March, and now on day 33. A serendipitous meeting with a former film producer living locally has resulted in lots of valuable footage of the carving developing… and the possibility of something equally creative developing as another legacy to partner the stone which the A3D project has facilitated. To view the stereo pair image in 3D – courtesy of another local expert, cross your eyes about 15″ from the screen until a third image of equal dimension appears between the two you are staring at. Move head in and out slightly to focus the image.

There are a number of other interesting sittings taking place in the year. Some dates for diaries – or please forward to others. Writing these things is often a thankless task but as far as one can go in “social networking” without diverting energy and concentration from one’s primary creative output.

We are also investigating the loan of the large sculpture ‘Lewes Group’ to the town of Lewes, which has a great sculptural heritage. It would be a great position for it after its return from the Russell Cotes Museum in Bournemouth and a subsequent sojourn at the Jozeshow HQ. www.thejozeshow.com
